| About the PQ Recommended to read !! - Spoiler:
2 Prelim heads: Don't need your hp gear on. Real simple, just attack. Move around every once and a while because they rarely attack you (it's "laggy" for most people in there, because skills lag). Thus, at least in Bera, they hardly do anything and you may hit the 1 min of standing still+attacking anti-botting measure. Just make sure you pot when you get kb'd backwards, so you don't die from the falling rock. No one should die here. Very easy.
Tail (bottom right corner): Make sure your HP gear is on. Have at least 7750 with HB, in my opinion. Start under the rock with all your buffs on while its being summoned. Hold right and pot each hit. We wait 10 seconds and then start attacking. Be safe and cautious. It's really not that hard once you know one thing: spam powers when you get hit and bumped forward from the rock. Attack the tail from under the rock (well as close to the wall as you can get). Do this only 2-3 times and be ready for a hit. Focus on your character. Get bumped forward? Spam power elixirs as you walk back against the wall. There is a poison there that does 2k a second and it doesn't wait for the temp-invincibility to wear off. Be cautious when buffing. Do it after a rock fall or a miss/shadowshifter, especially when putting on a new Shadow Partner. Also be cautious for when SP runs out as it may run out as you are bumped forward+attacking. Thus you're lagged for a second out of the safe area, which is not good.
For the non-ranged & bishops in the party, don't let them attack the tail. Just pot and buff in the corner. Don't let the bishop HS, as that's a longer-casting skill.
After the tail is dead, all ranged stop attacking. You'll hit the legs and they may focus on you and get any stray-ranged dead. Move up the rope and attack the wings. Legs should be dead anytime soon. It's easy to stay up here. Don't FJ towards the rope either. You may miss and land on the legs.
After the wings are dead, you can take off some hp gear. I remove my hp glove and put on my atk glove. As long as you have 75xx, you'll be fine.
Right-side arm: Mass seduces at <50%. You shouldn't be though if most of your warriors are still alive.
Right-side head: Attack from where you were attacking the arm and wings (back edge of the platform). Move forward to that small platform that is a step below to the left and attack the middle head when there is a physical immunity on the right-side head. Don't do this when dark wyverns start to spawn though. Try to have bishops dispel the heads when it has that mini-armor on it. It's hard for them to dispel it though. Doing it from below is easier.
Left-side head: Make sure you stand ahead of the rope. I try to stand halfway between the rope and the right-edge. When physical immunity is up, jump and attack the middle head. Attack as you're falling as its more likely to hit the middle head. Do the same thing about the mini-armor too.
Middle head: Watch for dispel from the middle head at around the 'me' mark on Time (between the 'm' and the 'e'; this is if you have only the middle head and left-side arm remaining, along with the mini-map in the upper left corner, because its past 50% hp left on the middle head). As time progresses, he dispels more often. Do the same thing about the mini-armor too. Remind bishops/mages to stay away from rocks.
Left-side arm: Mass seduces at <50%. You shouldn't be though if most of your warriors are still alive. Also dispels at <50%. Remind bishops/mages to stay away from rocks.
Watch for dark wyverns throughout the fight. They dispel.
Pots & Stars Personally I have only auto-mp. Make sure your pet loots are off too. I keep hp alert maxed so I can notice easier when I'm hit during the fight. I set powers on my auto-mp for the 1/1s for the prelim heads, tails/legs, & wings and use powers as my hp pot. After that I put mana elixir pills in my auto-mp and use milks as my hp pot.
Don't feel the need to max Shadow Claw for this. Level 14 suited me just fine for 4 hours of attacking. Anything more than 10-15 SC really only help until you get to the heads of the main Horntail. These heads do the physical immunity a LOT. So really, 13-20 Shadow Claw is enough in my opinion.
Feed your pet before the fight and a few times during the fight. I always feed it twice at a time.
For stars I bring: 18 crystal ilbis and 10 tobis (cheap addition that I use solely for HT extras... plus they pack more). For pots I bring: 900 power elixirs, 800 milks, 600 mana elixir pills, 100 all cures, 200 pet food, 20+ apples
Dying If you die at any point, leave party and communicate with people on being res'd. Usually you wait a bit. But please help organize as you can easily talk in there while dead.
About HP & HP gear Try to have as much int gear on before you level. This allows for more HP washes.
Glove: 120 hp glove is very nice. Top+bottom: Very nice if you use a luk sauna, because you can easily switch to these. Red/Gold stealers from Kerning Armor shop have 20 hp base on the top and 10 hp base on the bottom. I have a 110 hp top and 130 hp bottom from scrolling these. If you use top and bottom as your main gear as well as a luk cape, try to get a really high dex cape (usually yellow adventurer) to help cover the dex cost as well as get more dex out of shoes (switch out facestompers for a snowshoe). Cape: Can wear an hp cape if you use a luk cape and luk sauna. Yellow adventurers are the best to use. Pendant: Spiegalmann necklace is great. 60-90 hp is nice to use. Can also be used to help cover dex requirements.
